You talk about others but how do you feel about yourself
You speak of others, but what do you
think of yourself?
Said by Florios Detsis (Agakis) about someone who was constantly commenting on others.
Aperathou, the village that writes verses.
Even today, most Aperathites compose rhyming couplets with great ease. With these, they express their feelings. The "kotsakia" as they are called, usually consist of iambic octosyllabic, always rhyming verses.
Each piece in the collection is unique. The embroidery and the integration of the woven element are done by hand, with care and attention to detail — a tradition reflected in every stitch. The photos are indicative: the slight difference you will notice in your own piece is precisely what makes it unique.
